Surah Al-Muzzammil contains exactly 20 Ayat. It is the 73rd Surah of the Holy Qur'an, classified as Meccan (Makki), and it is located in Juz 29. It was revealed among the earliest Surahs, in the very beginning of the Prophet's mission.

The Prophet (ﷺ) was once wrapped in his cloak (muzzammil) when the angel Jibreel (Gabriel) came to him with the command: “O you who wraps himself [in clothing], arise [to pray] the night, except for a little — half of it, or subtract from it a little, or add to it, and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation.” (73:1–4). This was one of the earliest and most important commands — to stand in prayer at night and recite the Qur'an slowly and beautifully.
